The Story Behind the Name
Nancy was the first female publican in Dublin, and she knew how to work around the rules. When bars were required to close during Holy Hour every Sunday, she carved a small hatch through the front wall and served pints through it to loyal locals. With only her hands in view, the name “Nancy Hands” was born.
Today, that same clever spirit lives on in everything we do.
